Specifications:
1- Tube: Tube is of mild steel circular in cross section, of uniform wall thickness, surfiviently accurate to cut clean true threads. 2- Compliance: Intermediate Metal Conduit complies with the requirements of Underwriter's Laboratories standard UL 1242 and Fed Spec WW-C-581E. 3- Galvanizing: Prior to electro-galvanizing, all scale, rust dirt and other foreign matter if thoroughly removed from inside and outside of tubing. The zinc coating is such that it will not show a fixed deposit of copper after four, one minute immersions in a standard copper sulphate. 4- Finish: A bichromate finish is applied to the outside of each length of conduit after galvanizing. 5- Fittings: Each length of conduit has a coupling on one end and a thread protector on the other. 6- Threads: Lengths of conduit are threaded on both ends. End are chamfered to remove burns and sharp edges. Pipe and coupling threads are zinc coated .
